There is no point in being moralistic or attempting to deny it.  We have become a nation of hungry  junkies,  being fed daily fixes by media vultures.

 The Internet and the speed of information and the rate that it needs to refreshed,means that we can be virtual stalkers following celebrities 24/7.  And inevitably it is the bad guy/Gal celebs that get the most attention  and the lion share of the copy. They are the ones that we read about. We read about them and whatever they have done, however badly they have behaved their sales go up.

 That is one phenomenon.

 And the easy thing would be to leave them alone and not add to the frenzy.

But like it or not, they ARE role models. The Young and the Restless and the Impressionable are watching their movies, singing their songs and copying their dancing, dress style and attitudes.
