Archers Three Spot Commercial (2002)
Director Stephan Elliott Completes 3-Spot Campaign for Drink Brand "Archers"
Feature film director Stephan Elliott, best known for his highly-successful hit The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, directed a three-spot ad campaign for the Archers drink brand. The three
lavishly-produced spots, ("Glastonbury," "Office," and "Train,") were shot during Summer
2002 in Sydney and aired globally.
Each wickedly-funny spot features real-life drag queen "Darcy," who arrives in spectacular fashion at dreary events with her entourage (in "Glastonbury," picking up a drab rock concert, in "Office," giving life to a boring company birthday party, and in "Train," inviting three girls who have missed their train-car a ride on Darcy's party train,) using the tagline, "Come out to Play." On each occasion, Darcy arrives with an entourage of muscle men, thus adding another level of fun and excitement to the proceedings.
